Target Market
Demographics and Psychographic Characteristics
Age: Mostly working age people, from around age 25 to 55. Our target market is not teenagers because when they go out to eat, they usually go to fast-food places, and do not usually have a lot of money to spend. Single adults or adults married without children typically eat out more often than married adults with children. In all three of my locations, the percentage of adults in the area has been 63% or over.
Gender: Both male and female. People who would most likely come to our restaurant might be married people without children, or a group of adults celebrating a birthday or other event.
Income Level: Average to high income. Our restaurant is pricey, and people from that age group with good jobs would be able to afford the food, and like to spend money on this type of food.
Occupation: An occupation that pays average to high income. People with more income tend to eat out more frequently. Also, people who work long hours eat out more than people who have enough time to cook their own meals.
Education: Generally people with a university education.
Lifestyle: People who like going out a lot, to restaurants, art galleries, theaters, and like to spend money. Also, people who have grown children do not need to take care of them anymore, and can go out without worrying about who's going to take care of them.
People who live in smaller houses/apartments eat out more often than those with bigger houses. In all three locations, more people lived in apartments and semi detached homes than any other category.
