Approximate Rental Cost (includes utilities): 1,375 square feet, $6,050/month
Yorkville has high foot traffic, and is a big tourist attraction in Toronto because it has many elegant restaurants high-end designer clothes stores, and many art galleries. It also has a few expensive hotels, and St. George, Bay, and Bloor subway stations are right near by, which is convenient for people who do not have a car. Now, I know that we are putting our restaurant in an area that already has a handful of French restaurants, which have won awards for their food, but competition can be good. Sometimes if people notice a certain cuisine doing really well in a particular area, they will put their restaurant there. We want our restaurant to be one of the top restaurants in Yorkville, and get noticed by food critics. I think to do that, we could be involved with the community more than the other restaurants, attract cooks of a higher calibre than other restaurants.

Location 2: 1097 Queen Street East
Neighbourhood: South Riverdale
Demographics: Working Age, 65%, Youth, 11%, Children, 13%, Seniors, 11%
Approximate Rental Cost (includes utilities): 1,300 square feet, $4,900/month
Leslieville has been labelled "the next big thing," turning into one of the hot spots to dine in Toronto, with over 40 restaurants on Queen Street East, from Booth Avenue to Leslie Street. It has almost every kind of food: Japanese, Jamaican, Italian, Indian, Thai, and more. I think that adding a French restaurant to the diverse cuisine would help our restaurant really thrive there, seeing how those other restaurants have become very popular. In an area that has so many different cuisines, the minute a new one is added people would want to try it. Although there are not any subways near by, (it would take 40 minutes to walk to the closest subway station) there are many bus stops that will go to the subway. But it is worth going down to Queen Street just
to explore the different restaurants,.

Location 3: 188 Ossington Avenue
Neighbourhood: Trinity-Bellwoods
Demographics: Working Age, 64%, Youth, 11%, Children, 10%, Seniors, 14%
Approximate Rental Cost (includes utilities): 1,365 square feet, $6,040/month
Over the past few years, the strip of Ossington Avenue between Dundas Street West and Queen Street West has evolved from a few run down restaurants to some of the best restaurants in Toronto, and it is still growing. Trinity-Bellwoods Park, (which is only a couple minutes away from our restaurant) and go for lunch or dinner afterwards. I think that people would start to eat on this strip of Ossington more once they have realized that some of the best restaurants are there. A restaurant on the strip was actually voted one of the best restaurants in Toronto by NOW Magazine in 2013. Bringing that kind of attention to the strip is good, because then people will be curious about what other high quality restaurants are around, and might try ours.
